What is the Student Speaker League?

The Student Speaker League is an event organized by TEDxAPU to give students all over Oita Prefecture the chance to be a TEDx Speaker.  An opportunity to look for the best student speakers to stand on the TEDxAPU 2025 stage and share their ideas and stories with an engaging and compelling speech.

What language is the speeches in?

Students can choose to deliver their speech in either English or Japanese.

When and where is the event?

The event will take place at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University, J Building, Green Commons Stage on December 12th, Thursday between 16:00 - 19:30.

What are the benefits of being an SSL speaker?

The Student Speakers League (SSL) stage is the perfect opportunity, not only
for students to share their ideas and stories, but to showcase and improve
public speaking skills, as well as a networking platform to connect with highly
motivated people. It's a place to exchange mindsets and learn from others. SSL
is essentially a selection process for the main TED talk. If you get selected you
get to present on the main stage in April.
