After dedicating 28 years to the field of 'Global Education,' Koichiro Kita's primary goal is to provide individuals with the chance to recognize their inherent potential and develop the skills required to thrive in an increasingly globalized world. The cultivation of global awareness empowers individuals to contribute positively to society, thus fostering a better world. Over the past two decades, Mr. Kita's organization has impacted over 130,000 individuals through a variety of programs and initiatives.

Born in 1958, he went to Ritsumeikan University due to a book he encountered during junior high school. Following his graduation, he commenced a 32-year tenure with the Ritsumeikan Trust, dedicated to community service under the Trust's umbrella. Notably, he played a pivotal role in the establishment of Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU), actively contributing as one of its founders. Presently, he holds positions at both universities and seeks to share his ideas and messages with a global audience through his official blog on the APU website.

Chilufya Kapwepwe, a Zambian native, serves as the Executive Director of the NGO Imiti Ikula Empanga. She follows in the footsteps of her father, Simon Kapwepwe, Zambia's first Vice President and a sustainability advocate. Her career spans roles as a Public Health Nurse, Member of Parliament, and Deputy Ambassador in Namibia and China. Today, she's a fervent environmental activist, actively contributing as a Board Member in multiple organizations, upholding her father's legacy while promoting sustainable causes.

"The pursuit of visions in your life"

Gunmoo Oh, an APU alumnus. During his time on campus, he actively engaged in numerous activities and organizations, affording him the opportunity to connect with fellow students and understand their aspirations for the future. With this insight, he aspires to establish the Gunmoo Oh Foundation in the future, aiming to provide financial assistance to students who possess a clear vision but require support to achieve their educational goals.

Camille Armas

"The potential in all of us"

"The potential in all of us"

A graduate of APU, she experienced a devastating natural disaster in her home country, the Philippines, during her final year of studies. To aid her nation in coping with this tragic event and to assist the typhoon victims, she initiated a fundraising event called "Bayanihan Haiyan Aid" on the university campus. Subsequently, she expanded the initiative into the Oita city community, where the university is situated. Within a span of two months, the community-driven project successfully garnered over 1 million yen in funding.

Kiho Park

"The power of acceptance - vision for inclusive society"

Co-leader and Co-representative of the Nonprofit Organization D×P, Kiho Park was born in 1987 in Hyogo Prefecture. In 2012, they founded the nonprofit Organization "D×P," which serves as the Kansai business career education center. Their ultimate goal is to foster a "society where young people can aspire to a brighter future."

Peter A. Mantello

"Consuming the War on Terror"

Following the attainment of his degrees in Media Arts and Fine Arts from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada, he embarked on a career as a Contract Filmmaker with the National Film Board of Canada. Subsequently, he took on roles as a Lecturer in the Department of Cinema at Concordia University and as an instructor in the Media Communications Department at Webster University in Bangkok. Professor Mantello has earned numerous Faculty and Research Grants and Projects, and he is an active member of the Asian Association of World Historians.
