Mr. Katsunari Shibata is a professor at Oita University, whose research focuses on the use of artificial intelligence. He finished his Bachelor, Master, and Doctoral degree from University of Tokyo and have worked in one of the biggest electronic corporations in Japan and in Tokyo Institute of Technology before coming to Oita University in year 2000.

Ms. Akira Sakano holds the position of Chair of the Board of Directors at the Zero Waste Academy Japan. This non-profit organization, founded in 2005, is dedicated to advancing the implementation and promotion of Zero Waste policies. It is situated in Kamikatsu, the inaugural local community in Japan to adopt the Zero Waste commitment, achieving an impressive rate of nearly 80% recycling of its waste.

Ms. Stephanie Jones is presently employed in Bangkok, Thailand, holding the position of Prevention, Awareness, and Manager for A21 Thailand. With more than a decade of experience in the fields of human rights, development, and anti-trafficking, she has contributed her expertise through both professional roles and volunteer work with various local grassroots NGOs and international organizations in Australia and Southeast Asia.

Phuong Miyajima

Mrs. Phuong Miyajima holds the role of an admission officer at APU and is an integral part of the admission office's marketing team. She completed her undergraduate studies at the College of Asia Pacific Studies in 2004 and later obtained a Master's degree in International Cooperation Policy from the Graduate School of Asia Pacific Studies in 2006. Before returning to APU, she gained professional experience in the hospitality industry, where she served as a training director for a hotel management group in Vietnam.

Mr. Akshat Arora, hailing from India, is a strong advocate of maintaining an even keel in the face of both success and setbacks. Since his arrival in Japan, he has dedicated numerous days to collaborating with diverse educational institutions in the country, with aspirations of playing a role in enhancing the student-centered nature of the educational system in the future.

Ms. Shivangi Shivraj Dharne, a now APU alumni, hails from Bangalore, India. At APU, she achieved the distinction of becoming the youngest individual to earn the 'best speaker award' in a business case competition.
